How It Works

BORDER helps customers purchase, receive, and transfer goods between Ukraine and European Union countries. Send us a link or describe what you need — we will check whether it can be done, prepare a quote, engage the appropriate contractors, and support the Order through to handover.

What you can send

Contact BORDER if you need to:

  • purchase an item from a Ukrainian store and deliver it to the EU;
  • purchase an item in an EU country and transfer it to Ukraine;
  • receive an already paid parcel and forward it;
  • collect an item from a seller or private sender;
  • arrange inspection, packing, transportation, or local delivery;
  • handle a non-standard task that cannot be solved by regular post.

You can send one or more links from stores and marketplaces such as Rozetka, OLX, Prom.ua, Amazon, eBay, and other available sources.

1. Send a request

Choose the appropriate request type:

  • Link — when an item needs to be purchased;
  • Receive and forward — when an item has already been purchased or will be handed over by a sender;
  • Custom request — for a non-standard purchase, collection, or transfer.

Add a link or description, the Ukraine → EU or EU → Ukraine direction, destination country, email address, and phone number. The more precise the item details, the faster we can prepare a response.

2. We check whether the request can be fulfilled

A manager checks:

  • availability and the current price of the item;
  • whether it can be lawfully purchased and moved along the selected route;
  • approximate weight, dimensions, and packing requirements;
  • availability of a border, carrier, or another independent Contractor;
  • estimated time and costs;
  • whether additional documents, customs duties, taxes, or permits are required.

Submitting a Request does not mean that the Order is automatically accepted. If the item or route is restricted, we will let you know or propose a lawful alternative.

3. You receive a personalised quote

BORDER prepares a separate quote for each Order. It may include:

  • Purchase Budget — funds used to pay the seller for the item;
  • BORDER’s fee — payment for carrying out the assignment and organising the Order;
  • receipt, inspection, and packing — where these actions are required;
  • transportation and local delivery;
  • mandatory additional expenses — where known and included in the quote.

The quote states the Order number, item, route, agreed budget, services, and total amount. If the price or availability changes before purchase, we will agree the revised terms before incurring additional expenses.

4. Confirmation and payment

Before payment, you can review the agreed Order details and access the Public Offer. Confirming and paying for the Order constitutes acceptance of its terms.

The Customer can pay the total amount using any available payment method. Within the Order, funds are accounted for according to their purpose: the Purchase Budget is used for the item and agreed expenses, while the fee and cost of related services are payment for BORDER’s work.

A payment document required by law is provided for the transaction.

5. BORDER organises fulfilment

BORDER is the single coordination point for the Order. We may engage independent Contractors, including sole proprietors, borders, couriers, warehouses, carriers, and postal operators.

Depending on the Order, a Contractor may:

  • receive the item from the seller or sender;
  • check its model, quantity, and visible condition;
  • take photos or video;
  • repack the item;
  • hand it over to the next participant in the route;
  • perform an agreed transportation or local-delivery stage.

Different Contractors may perform different stages, but all Order communication remains with BORDER.

6. The status is always at hand

After the Order is created, you receive a tracking code. It can be saved on your device and used without repeatedly signing in to your account.

An Order moves through consecutive statuses:

  • REQUESTED — the request has been received;
  • ORDERED — the item has been ordered;
  • RECEIVED — the item has been received;
  • CROSSING — the cross-border stage is in progress;
  • EU HUB or UA HUB — the item has reached the relevant hub;
  • LOCAL DELIVERY — the item has been handed over for local delivery;
  • DELIVERED — the Order has been handed over to the recipient.

The set of statuses may vary depending on the route. Updates are available on the tracking page, in your account, and, once connected, via Telegram or push notifications.

7. Handover to the recipient

At the final stage, the item is handed over using the agreed method: in person, through a postal operator, courier, collection point, or another channel specified in the Order.

When receiving the item, check the outer packaging, number of packages, and available consignment-note details. Any visible damage should be recorded immediately and, where possible, documented in a carrier’s damage report.

If something changes

The Order may be cancelled before the item is actually purchased. BORDER will refund unused funds after deducting the cost of services already provided and documented expenses already incurred, if any.

After purchase, the possibility of a return depends on applicable law, the seller’s rules, the condition of the item, and the feasibility of return shipping. We will check the terms and help arrange the available steps.

Detailed rules are available on the Delivery and Returns page.

Who is responsible for what

The Customer provides accurate links, specifications, contact details, and documents, approves changes in a timely manner, and reports any special properties of the item.

BORDER reviews the Request, prepares the quote, carries out the purchase assignment, selects Contractors, coordinates the stages, and keeps the Customer informed.

Independent Contractors perform the factual actions assigned to them in accordance with their agreements with BORDER, safety rules, and legal requirements.

Sellers, carriers, banks, and public authorities act under their own rules and within their own powers. BORDER coordinates the steps available to it but cannot guarantee decisions outside its control.
